On 31 October 2014, the HUBER+SUHNER Group, based in Herisau Switzerland obtained Cube Optics AG.
The merger of Cube Optics and HUBER+SUHNER is ideally enhancing our already successful positions in broadband communication. Within the emerging alliance we are able to offer a much broader product portfolio to meet each and individual market needs. Synergies will be generated by the global sales networks and by product combinations.
To our partners and customers all contracts and operations remain unchanged and all responsibilities and current contacts and interfaces remain the same.
For the past 14 years Cube Optics AG have been serving the industry with leading edge fiber-optic components and transport network solutions, showing rapid growth for the past years. Being now a part of a large world-wide organization and future investments in R&D, production and sales we will be able to serve our partners and customers even better.
"I am most pleased that for our customers this acquisition is the best, most logical next step" stated Francis Nedvidek, CEO Cube Optics AG. "This acquisition expands the reach of Cubo products while enabling key investments which ultimately bring greater value for all our clients".
Cube Optics AG is now structured as an independent business unit of the Huber+Suhner Cooperation. The Cube Optics AG management remains in situ, while Dr. Thomas Paatzsch will succeed Francis Nedvidek in the position of the General Manager.
Cube Optics and HUBER+SUHNER are perfectly suited in strategic terms, and the combination will make a crucial contribution to both companies.
We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial business relationship.
