Cube Optics announces the world’s probably smallest integrated multi-lambda 100Gbps Receiver Optical Sub-Assemblies (ROSAs), compatible with CFP4/QSPF28 form factor. The ROSA yields superior performance in a robust and reliable design. It is only measuring 18 x 6.5 x 6 mm and with a typical power consumption of barely 330mW, the ROSA sets a standard for the next-generation pluggable transceivers in datacenter and LAN applications.
The ROSA incorporates optical de-multiplexer, integrated four PIN detectors and an array quad Trans-Impedance Amplifier (TIA). It receives parallel optical LAN WDM signals, each propagating at 28.3 Gbps over a single optical fiber. The ROSA modules are currently available for customer sampling and volume production will start in Q3 2015.
